The story begins with Geralt of Rivia, Cirilla, the Crown Princess of Cintra, and Yennefer, the Quarter-Elf sorceress of Vengerberg, each appearing at different times. They explore defining events that shape their characters throughout the first season before finally merging into a single timeline.
Geralt and Ciri were bound by fate from the moment Ciri was born, when Ciri unwittingly invoked the Law of Surprise to claim her as a reward for her service. After the two finally meet, Geralt becomes the princess’s guardian and must help her and fight various pursuers to prevent her ancient blood and powerful magic from being used for nefarious purposes and to protect Ciri and her world.
The Witcher Season 3 Review
I had no idea what to expect from The Witcher, having never read the books or played the games. However, I’m a big Henry Cavill fan and saw all the positive reviews so I thought I’d give it a chance. I liked it a lot more than I thought I would, so I’m glad I did! Most of the negative reviews seem to come from people comparing the movie to the games and books (which you shouldn’t do, take it for what it is) or bots from competing streaming services that do everything Netflix doesn’t do well.
They say things like “Another Netflix fail” despite Netflix having been nominated for more Oscars, Golden Globes, Emmys, etc. than any other company on the planet. Henry Cavill is a fantastic actor and was really great in the lead role, as was the rest of the cast!
