Sardar Udham is a 2021 Indian Hindi-language biographical historical drama film directed by Shoojit Sircar and produced by Rising Sun Films in association with Kino Works. The screenplay was written by Shubhendu Bhattacharya and Ritesh Shah, with Bhattacharya also writing the story based on team research, and Shah also writing dialogues in a supporting role. The film is based on the life of Udham Singh, who murdered Michael O’Dwyer in London to avenge the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar. The film stars Vicky Kaushal in the title role, with Sean Scott, Steven Hogan, Amol Parashar, Vanita Sandhu, and Kirsty Averton in supporting roles.

The film was officially announced in March 2019, and principal photography began in April. In a marathon seven-month schedule, the makers completed the shoot of the film in December 2019. The film is set in India and Britain, with principal photography taking place in Russia and India, with some scenes shot in Britain and Ireland. Sardar Udham has music by Shantanu Moitra, cinematography by Avik Mukhopadhyay and editing by Chandrashekhar Prajapati.

when people come to Amritsar, they just stroll through the gardens, take selfies and then go outside the gates to shop. At least these places should have been better preserved. Till six months back, construction was going on and building blocks and tractors were visible inside. Please understand and respect the importance of our historical events.
