Scream VI is a 2023 American slasher film directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett and written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. It is the sequel to Scream (2022) and the sixth installment in the Scream film series. It stars Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, Roger L. Jackson, Jenna Ortega, Jasmine Savoy Brown, Hayden Panettiere, and Courteney Cox, reprising their roles from the previous film, along with Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devin Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra, and Samara Weaving join the ensemble cast.

The plot revolves around a new Ghostface killer who begins targeting survivors of the Woodsboro murders in New York City. Just weeks after the successful debut of Scream (2022), a sixth Scream film was announced. Many of the cast signed on to reprise roles, with Bettinelli-Olpin, Gillette, Vanderbilt and Busick also reprising their roles.

A year after the Woodsboro murders orchestrated by Richie Kirsch and Amber Freeman, Laura Crane, a professor at Blackmore University, is tricked and murdered by her student Jason Carvey, who is dressed as the Ghost Face, who blames her for her failure. Jason and his roommate Greg plan to kill the sisters Sam and Tara Carpenter in order to complete the “movie” that Richie and Amber wanted to make. However, Jason receives a call from another Ghost Face who kills Greg and then stabs Jason.

What a good movie, highly recommended. Scream 6 was very good, the director, producers, actors and actresses worked hard for this movie and every part of the movie was good. That was the twist in this movie. I don’t mind watching it again because it’s such a good movie. Everyone did a good job in this movie and played their role. This new setting of New York during Halloween is very cool because it’s a big city and a lot of ghost faces.
I’m not a big fan of Horror movies so this was by far one of the best screams in my opinion, but I’ve come to expect the unexpected with this movie. This was much better than I thought it would be. I wanted this movie to be good and it was. Tara, Sam, Chad and Mindy, the four of them did a great job. I take my hat off to them as well as the other actors/actresses. Scream 6 is very good and worth your money and time.
