The story follows Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the other toys as they face an uncertain future. Andy Davis, now a teenager, is heading off to college, and the toys are accidentally donated to Sunnyside Daycare by Andy’s mother. Once there, they must decide whether to stay or find a way back to Andy, facing challenges that test their loyalty and friendship. The film’s production journey began in 2004 when disagreements between Disney CEO Michael Eisner and Pixar CEO Steve Jobs led Disney to consider making Toy Story 3 through its new Circle Seven Animation studio. After developing multiple script versions and setting a tentative release for 2008, the project was canceled following Disney’s purchase of Pixar in 2006, which also resulted in the closure of Circle Seven. Pixar then took over the project, developing a new script from scratch. Randy Newman returned to compose the film’s musical score. With a $200 million budget, Toy Story 3 became one of the most expensive films ever made.

dy decides to take Woody with him to college and plans to store the other toys in the attic. However, a mix-up occurs, and the toys, including Buzz, Jessie, Mr. Potato Head, and others, end up being mistaken as trash. Feeling abandoned, they are hurt and disappointed. They decide to donate themselves to a local daycare center, believing it could be a new start for them. The toys arrive at Sunnyside Daycare, where they are greeted warmly by a variety of other toys, including the seemingly friendly leader, Lotso (a pink, strawberry-scented teddy bear), and Ken, who quickly bonds with Barbie. At first glance, the daycare seems like a perfect place, where toys are always played with by children. Woody tries to convince his friends to return to Andy, but they believe they will be happier at the daycare.Woody initially escapes from the daycare but is found by a little girl named Bonnie, who takes him to her home. There, Woody meets her toys, who are kind and welcoming. They reveal the truth about Lotso’s dark past: he was once loved by a girl, but when he was accidentally lost, he was replaced. This rejection turned him bitter and vengeful, causing him to take over Sunnyside and trap other toys there.

Toy Story 3 Movie Review

Toy Story 3 is an emotional and captivating conclusion to the beloved trilogy that surpasses all expectations. Released in 2010, it picks up years after the events of the second movie, with Andy now grown up and about to leave for college. The story beautifully addresses themes of change, loss, and growing up, making it resonate with both children and adults.

The plot centers on Woody, Buzz, and the rest of Andy’s toys as they mistakenly end up at a daycare, where they are confronted with both new friends and enemies. The daycare seems like a paradise for toys at first, but soon reveals a darker side under the leadership of Lotso, the strawberry-scented bear. As the toys struggle to escape, the film builds to a climactic and emotional finale that explores the bond between Andy and his toys.Emotional Depth: The film has several heart-wrenching moments, particularly in its exploration of friendship and loyalty. The incinerator scene, in particular, is incredibly moving, followed by Andy’s farewell to his toys, which is equally poignant.Animation Quality: Pixar’s Animation continues to impress, with vibrant colors, detailed textures, and expressive character designs. The level of detail in the daycare scenes, especially the toys’ facial expressions, enhances the storytelling.

Character Development: The toys, especially Woody and Buzz, are given moments of introspection. Woody’s loyalty to Andy and the other toys is central to the story, while Buzz’s role as both a leader and comic relief is balanced well, including his amusing switch to “Spanish mode.”New Characters: The introduction of new toys like Lotso and the playful Ken adds fresh dynamics to the group. Lotso is a particularly well-written antagonist, whose backstory adds complexity to his character.
