The series is set in present-day South London and follows a group of five ordinary black people united by a family history of sickle cell anemia, who unexpectedly develop superpowers and are pursued by a secret organization trying to control them.

Thoroughly enjoyed this last night, great Netflix binge, it introduces the characters well, they are very complex & draws you in right from the start and keeps getting better with every episode. The the plot keeps you invested and entertained the whole way through.
Not only is this a really fantastic ensemble of ALL Black Superheroes, it’s based in South London & tackles issues of young gangs, knife crime, sickle cell & the nefarious activities of the organized-crime syndicates.
