Raghavaraju is a farming landlord living in Atreyapuram village, Andhra Pradesh. He resides in his ancestral home with his wife, Janakamma, and his nephew Bangararaju, along with Bangararaju’s wife and their son, Raju. The household is a traditional joint family that has been passed down through generations. However, times have changed, and Raghavaraju’s two sons, Ravi and Kalyan, along with his daughter Jhansi, now live in the United States, Canada, and Australia, respectively, as nuclear families.

After a decade apart, Raghavaraju’s children return to the village during the holiday season of Makara Sankranti, following a mysterious email from their father, in which he expresses his desire to divorce Janakamma. Nithya, Jhansi’s daughter, soon develops feelings for Raju, but neither of them openly acknowledges their affection. As the siblings reconnect, Raju and Nithya decide to arrange a meeting between Raghavaraju and his old love interest. However, Jhansi advises Raju not to get his hopes up about Nithya’s feelings, which he takes to heart. This ultimately leaves Nithya heartbroken, as her feelings for Raju remain unspoken.
