Pathaan is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film co-written and directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. The fourth installment of the YRF Spy Universe stars Shah Rukh Khan in the title role, alongside Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana in supporting roles. This is the first part of the universe where crossovers between characters occur and the universe itself officially exists. The film tells the story of an exiled RAW agent who teams up with ISI agent Rubina Mohsin to take down ex-RAW agent Jim, who is planning to attack India with a deadly virus created in his lab.

Principal photography began in November 2020 in Mumbai. The film was shot in various locations across India, Afghanistan, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Russia, Italy and France. The film’s songs were composed by Vishal-Shekhar, with music by Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara. The film was made at an estimated cost of 250 million rupees (US$30 million).
