Killing Veerappan Movie Story
Forest brigand Veerappan (Sandeep Bhardwaj) operates with impunity in the Sathyamangalam Forest, spanning Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala. Defying governmental authority and Indian border security forces, he commands a small army and is one of India’s most wanted criminals, responsible for approximately 184 murders, including many police officers and senior forest officials.
In addition to his violent crimes, Veerappan has been implicated in the poaching of around 200 elephants and the smuggling of ivory valued at $2.6 million, as well as approximately 10,000 tonnes of sandalwood worth around $22 million. In 1991, Veerappan and his chief intelligence officer, Gandhi (Sadh Orhan), infamously beheaded IFS Officer P. Srinivas (Gadda Viji). Years later, in an act of revenge for Gandhi’s death, Veerappan misleads the Special Task Force (STF) personnel during a covert operation by utilizing information from Gandhi’s unnamed notorious informer (Aziz Naser). The mission, led by T. Harikrishna S.P. (Rockline Venkatesh) and his informer S.I. Shakeel Ahmed (Rajesh Nataranga), ends in disaster as Veerappan and his gang brutally kill all the STF officers involved in the operation and seize their weapons.
