If Ravi and his family kill Brigadier Mirza, they can return to India as heroes, even though they are living in poverty as refugees in the state of South Dakota in the United States. While Mirza is on a well disposed visit to Ravi’s home, Ravi, Charu, and Ravi’s mom endeavor to toxin and kill him. Yet, he detects a ploy and kills Ravi’s mom. Ravi, furious, knocks Mirza out by hitting his head on the wall and knocking him unconscious. The CIA’s undercover psychiatrist acting as Ravi’s handler is coerced by KM, and Mirza’s death is staged as an accident due to a head injury sustained when he slipped in his hotel’s bathtub. When Ravi and his family are deported to India, they start over. At Charu’s recommendation, KM calls her alienated high school child to uncover the justification behind her separation from his dad – on the grounds that she is a lesbian.
