Hawkeye is an American television miniseries created by Jonathan Igla for Disney+, featuring the Marvel Comics characters Clint Barton (Hawkeye) and Kate Bishop. It is the fifth series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), set after the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019). The series follows Clint Barton, played by Jeremy Renner, as he teams up with Kate Bishop, portrayed by Hailee Steinfeld, to confront enemies from his past while trying to return to his family in time for Christmas.Marvel Studios began developing a Hawkeye series in April 2019, with Renner returning to reprise his role. The series was officially announced in July 2019, with Igla joining as head writer in September. Rhys Thomas, alongside directors Bert & Bertie, led the directing team. Filming commenced in New York City in December 2020 and wrapped up in late April 2021, with some additional shooting in Atlanta, Georgia. The storyline is heavily influenced by the comic run by Matt Fraction and David Aja.
