The film was announced in October 2014 as Avengers: Infinity War – Part 2, but Marvel Studios later dropped the title. The Russo brothers joined as directors in April 2015, and Markus and McFeely signed on to write the script a month later. The film will conclude the MCU’s saga to date, wrapping up the storylines of several key characters.

In 2018, 23 days after Thanos wiped out half of all life in the universe,[a] Carol Danvers rescues Tony Stark and Nebula from space. They reunite on Earth with the remaining Avengers Bruce Banner, Steve Rogers, Thor, Natasha Romanoff, James Rhodes, and Rocket. They discover Thanos on an uninhabited planet and plan to use the Infinity Stones to undo his actions, but discover that Thanos has destroyed them. Enraged, Thor decapitates Thanos.
Five years later, Scott Lang escapes from the Quantum Realm.[b] When he arrives at the Avengers compound, he explains that he was only trapped for five hours. They suspect that the Quantum Realm allows time travel, and ask a reluctant Stark to help them retrieve the Stones from the past to undo Thanos’s actions in the present. Stark, Rocket, and Banner, combining his intellect with the strength of the Hulk, build a time machine. Banner states that changing the past has no effect on the present; every change creates an alternate reality. Banner and Rocket travel to Norway to visit the Asgardian refugee settlement New Asgard, where they recruit the overweight and depressed Thor. In Tokyo, Romanoff recruits Clint Barton, who has become a vigilante after his family was wiped out.
Avengers Endgame Movie Review
The time travel in this movie was different but still very enjoyable. Iron Man and Captain America got great endings for their characters which I was very satisfied with. Black Widow’s death will be remembered forever. Thor’s obesity got a bit boring but I appreciate the actors and creators doing something different and I don’t think it ruined Thor’s character at all. I appreciate that Hulk has good mental closure because in the first Avengers he spoke about trying to commit suicide in the past and now he’s back to himself again so it’s nice to see that. Surprisingly,
Nebula also had a good storyline. The stages of grief are very present for almost every character, which I appreciated because I think that’s what happens when half your friends die. The portal scene was truly magical and will go down as one of the most iconic scenes of all time. I also liked how Wanda came so close to defeating Thanos for killing Vision, but we knew it would ultimately be the Big Three who would fight him in the end.
