A Quiet Place: Day One Story
Sam, a pessimistic cancer patient, goes on a group outing to a marionette show in NYC with nurse Reuben. They witness extraterrestrial attacks, ending up in a puppet theater where they must stay hidden to survive. Military helicopters warn civilians to stay silent while fighter jets try to contain the creatures.
A Quiet Place: Day One Review
Interesting and well-acted, I found this prequel beautiful and original. Lupita Nyong’o was fabulous, as always, and adds an original spin and some dramatic meat to this franchise, shining just as brightly as Emily Blunt does in the first two original movies.
I love the contrast of NYC to the more rural setting of the first two and the fact that Lupita’s character’s cat brings her to Eddie Munson from Stranger Things–a surprisingly fabulous Joseph Quinn
