The shooting of Vishwaroopam II began in Thailand, where scenes were filmed at the Bangkok airbase. Notably, there was a sequence involving bomb defusals and underwater gun battles, performed by the actors themselves after undergoing scuba diving training. The Chennai schedule kicked off on June 13, 2013, and an underwater fight sequence featuring Kamal Haasan was shot by stunt director Ramesh in October 2016. The final shooting schedule commenced on November 27, 2017, in Chennai. To promote the film, appearances were made on television shows such as Bigg Boss Tamil 2, hosted by Haasan, as well as Bigg Boss Malayalam, Indian Idol, and Dus Ka Dum with Salman Khan.

The team arrives in Delhi, where Jagannathan is called in for a debriefing by his senior, Seshadri. Meanwhile, Wisam, Nirupama, and Ashmita return to their rooms to rest. Nirupama is upset to find Ashmita and Wisam sleeping together and storms off to a nearby coffee shop. There, she overhears Jagannathan and Seshadri discussing her role in the team. Seshadri insists that Jagannathan should remove her, but he defends her, citing Wisam’s deep feelings for her. Touched by Wisam’s love, Nirupama returns to him, and they share an intimate moment. Later, they visit Wisam’s mother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s and resides in a care home. Despite not recognizing him, she often mourns over childhood photos of Wisam, leaving him feeling both sad and nostalgic as he recalls their Kathak dance sessions.
Tragedy strikes when Ashmita and Nirupama are kidnapped by Salim. Ashmita attempts to fight back but suffers a brutal injury to her arm. In a shocking turn, Salim ultimately kills Ashmita and sends her dismembered body to Wisam. Devastated, Wisam confronts Omar to negotiate Nirupama’s release, revealing that his family survived and were taken to safety by NATO. Omar, who blames Wisam for the deaths of his family during a NATO attack, initially refuses to let Nirupama go.Nirupama is taken to Daryaganj, where Wisam’s mother is also held hostage. Omar straps a bomb around Wisam’s neck with a 40-second timer, revealing his plan to detonate 64 bombs across the city to mark Indian Independence Day. As the timer ticks down, Nirupama watches in Horror. Wisam breaks through a window, killing Salim in the process. A flashback reveals how Wisam narrowly escaped a bombing, leading to Omar’s fiery demise. Wisam orders his team to prevent the impending bombings.
