To reconnect before her departure, Rick decides to take the whole family—including Katie, her mother Linda, younger brother Aaron, and their dog Monchi—on a cross-country road trip. Meanwhile, tech entrepreneur Mark Bowman declares his AI assistant, PAL, obsolete, prompting her to seek revenge by capturing humans and launching them into space.
