Notably, much of the filming took place at the Everest Base Camps in Nepal, making it the first Indian film to be shot in that location. Released on March 21, 2015, the film garnered mostly positive reviews from critics, who praised Nani’s performance and the film’s meaningful script, although some noted the slow-paced narration. It was commercially successful, resonating with audiences. The production kicked off with a trek from Lukla to Gokyo and then to Chola Pass. Throughout filming, the cast and crew encountered various challenges, including altitude sickness, harsh weather conditions, and limited food supplies. However, there were also lighthearted moments, like when a makeup artist was chased by a baby yak and the director got hit by a horse. A memorable highlight for the director was meeting Amelia Hillary, the granddaughter of Sir Edmund Hillary, which he considered a positive sign for the film.

Yevade Subramanyam Movie Story
Subramanyam “Subbu” is a materialistic and ambitious IIM graduate determined to ascend the corporate ladder. He works under his boss, Pasupathi, who shares Subbu’s ruthless ambition for success. Together, they set their sights on acquiring the company of Pasupathi’s rival, Ramayya. Despite facing initial setbacks, Subbu cleverly manipulates Ramayya’s employees into selling their shares, achieving Pasupathi’s biggest corporate victory. In recognition of his success, Subbu becomes engaged to Pasupathi’s daughter, Rhea.
However, during the engagement ceremony, Subbu’s life takes an unexpected turn with the reappearance of his childhood friend, Rishi. Rishi serves as the antithesis of Subbu—an energetic, free-spirited individual who embraces life without concern for material success. That same day, they meet Anandi, a free-spirited yet lonely girl, in a pub. Rishi expresses his long-held dream of traveling to Doodh Kasi, a sacred lake in the Himalayas, and invites Subbu to join him. Meanwhile, the corporate world of Pasupathi and Subbu faces turmoil when they lose crucial shares, jeopardizing their acquisition of Ramayya’s company. Enraged, Pasupathi threatens to end Subbu’s engagement and fire him if he cannot secure the deal. Desperate, Subbu approaches Ramayya, but Ramayya politely declines to sell his company. Feeling defeated, Subbu considers Rishi’s proposal to visit Doodh Kasi. Rishi playfully promises to return the details of a key shareholder if Subbu agrees to the trip, leading them to Anandi, whose father holds the critical shares necessary for the acquisition.
