The series cost most of its budget, with each episode costing €30 million Choreographer Kim Sol-jin and contortionist Troy James were chosen to record the monsters’ movements using motion capture.

The survivors continue to face new threats and challenges as we delve deeper into the characters’ backgrounds and the monsters’ origins. Cha Hyun-soo struggles with his monstrous transformation abilities and plays a key role in protecting the survivors and unraveling the mystery behind the monster outbreak. New, more dangerous types of monsters appear, including human-like creatures that hatch from cocoons. Yi-gyeong’s child, who has special powers, becomes an important part of the story.
Yi Eun-hyuk returns as a transformed monster, posing a serious threat to the remaining survivors. Efforts by government and scientific agencies to understand and possibly cure this monstrous transformation continue, adding an additional layer of intrigue and hope for the characters. The season maintains its combination of Horror, action and emotional storytelling, leading to an exciting and satisfying series conclusion.
Sweet Home Season 3 Review
Seasons 2 and 3 felt like one long season split into two parts. That’s why I think a lot of people found fault with the second season. It had to introduce a lot of new characters in a new setting and build new storylines while the main characters from season 1 faded into the background. That’s why season 3 was so exciting to watch. It paid off with all the building up we had done in season 2, and season 3 brought the main characters from season 1 back into the lead role and it felt like the various storylines were tied together nicely. I really like the open ending of this series.
We must remember that just because this is an apocalyptic story, it is not one that can be easily concluded. What is the end for us is essentially the beginning for them in a new world.
