Goodbye is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language family comedy and drama film written and directed by Vikas Bahl and produced by Bahl, Viraj Savant, Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under the banners of Good Co, Balaji Motion Pictures and Saraswati Entertainment Pvt Ltd. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Rashmika Mandanna (making her Hindi film debut) and Neena Gupta, with supporting roles featuring Sunil Grover, Pavail Gulati, Ashish Vidyarthi, Payal Thapa, Elli Avram, Sahil Mehta, Shivin Narang, Shayank Shukla and newcomers Abhishek Khan and Arun Bali. The film marked the final appearance of Arun Bali, who passed away on the film’s release date. Goodbye was released in theatres on October 7, 2022. The film was a huge box office flop and ended up being a huge flop.

Goodbye Movie Story
The story revolves around a broken family. Tara Bhalla (Rashmika Mandanna), a lawyer, lives in Mumbai with her partner Mudassar. After winning her first case, she goes to celebrate. Tara does not respond to calls and messages from her mother Gayatri. When her father calls Harish the same day, she learns from a bar waiter that Gayatri has passed away. Her mother calls her to ask about the first incident.
She immediately heads to her hometown Chandigarh to spend time with Harish (Amitabh Bachchan). She has three siblings: Harish’s eldest son Karan, who lives in Los Angeles; his second son Nakul; and an adopted son named Angad, who lives in Dubai. Karan, his American wife Daisy, and Angad also book the first flight to Chandigarh. Meanwhile, Nakul is climbing Everest and is out of reach, with no phone service. His father leaves him a message that he can read later.

Amitabh Bachchan simply takes your breath away with his soulful performance, evoking emotions like a spell that creates a waterfall in the audience. The first section is a bit long, but the speed picks up later.
