Set in 1964, the film depicts the story of Lt. Ram, an orphaned army officer serving on the Kashmir border, who receives an anonymous love letter from Sita Mahalakshmi. Ram then goes in search of Sita and proposes to her. Principal photography began in April 2021 and ended in April 2022. Filming took place in Hyderabad, Kashmir, and Russia. The film’s music is composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar and cinematography is by P. S. Vinod and Shreyas Krishna.

In 1985, Afreen, an aggressive Pakistani troublemaker, is asked by the Dean of a London university to apologize to Indian philanthropist Anand Mehta for setting fire to his car in revenge for him burning the Pakistani flag. When Afreen refuses, Mehta demands that she pay him 1 million rupees in compensation within a month, or he will send her to prison.
Afreen takes the initiative to reconcile with her estranged grandfather, Abu Tariq, a former Pakistani Army Brigadier, and get the money from him. She therefore flies to Karachi, Pakistan, only to find out that he died of an illness a few days earlier, and that she herself was to deliver a letter from Indian Army Lieutenant Ram to Sita Mahalakshmi from Hyderabad, India in 1965; her grandfather was unable to deliver it by mail.
