Maaveeran is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language superhero film directed by Madonne Ashwin and produced by Shanti Talkies. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan in the title role alongside Aditi Shankar, Saritha, Mysskin, Monisha Brethy, Yogi Babu, and Sunil. In the film, cartoonist Satya hears voices after an accident that try to get him to kill corrupt minister Jeyakodi.

The film was officially announced in July 2022 with the official title Maaveeran, and shortly before its release it was given the subtitle Veerame Jeyam. Principal photography began in August 2022. The bulk of the filming will take place in Chennai and Pondicherry, with shooting commencing in early June 2023. Music is by Bharath Sankar, while cinematography and editing are by Vidhu Ayyanna and Philomin Raj.

Maaveeran Movie Story
Sathya is a comic book artist for the Tamil newspaper Dhina Thee, creating a comic strip about warrior Maaveeran. Despite being a coward since his father’s death, he lets someone else take credit for his work. Nila, a sub-editor, helps him gain recognition.
Sathya’s family moves to a new apartment provided by the Government, but it quickly reveals serious flaws. When Sathya fails to protect his sister from harassment, his mother confronts him, leading to a confrontation and the destruction of his work.
Maaveeran Movie Review
The plot is simple but unique, and at the end it gives a positive message. Great action scenes (not like Mission Impossible action scenes in South American movies).
A complete family entertainment movie, and one of the best movies I’ve seen in 2023.
