While several other films are scheduled to release on the same Independence Day weekend, Double iSmart will clash with Ravi Teja’s Mr Bachchan at the Telugu box office. In Tamil Nadu, the film is currently competing with director Vikram’s much-awaited period drama Thangaraan.

The trailer shows Shankar, played by Ram Pothineni, as a loudmouthed, fearless and stern character. His love interest in the film is played by Kavya Thapar and looks like a rich city girl. Sanjay Dutt, who plays the Big Bull, hatches a plan to capture Shankar and implant an immortality chip in his brain. The trailer also contains explosive dialogues and high voltage action sequences, which is sure to be a treat for action movie lovers.
